Dear faculty advisors, sponsors, delegates, ladies, and gentlemen:
“Nothing in life is to be feared, it is only to be understood. Now is the time to understand more, so that we may fear less.” -Marie Curie.
I have the honor to preside for the second time this memorable committee, The United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF), with the collaboration of my partner Emilia Pont. During BIMUN XVII we will be working by you hand to discuss different problematics that are affecting vulnerable children all around the globe and its factors, by the perspective of the delegation you will represent.
President Pont and me expect a great disposition and compromise during this model, it requires a lot of responsibility and earnest to debate in a successful way and find viable solutions that can change the course of the world. The best way to change the direction, is starting with the children; the future of our nations and the next leaders. The priority are them. For this reason, we will fight to defend children's rights and find a way to give them an opportunity to success.

Dear faculty advisors, sponsors, delegates, ladies, and gentlemen:
“Challenges are what make life interesting and overcoming them is what makes life meaningful.” — Joshua J. Marine
This year I have been privileged with the responsibility of being president of The United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund or UNICEF with my partner Isabel Carvajal.
In this committee, we will be debating the humanitarian and developmental issues of children and mothers in developing countries. My partner and I will do our best to help guide you through the thinking process of each topic and aspect of this year’s BIMUN.
As president, I expect you to come with eagerness to learn and develop new skills with us. My goal is that by the end of our days together in this committee, everyone will have new accomplishments, opened up their minds, and cultivated a more profound and intellectual way of thinking with regards to the issues we discussed, and any you may come across in the future.
If you feel the need to ask any questions or need any help, you can contact us at: unicef.bimunxvii@gmail.com
