Adriana Lucía Perez

Dear faculty advisors, sponsors, delegates, ladies, and gentlemen:
“Be the change that you wish to see in the world.” - Mahatma Gandhi
It is a privilege to welcome you to the sixteenth session of BIMUN and to the Third Committee of United Nations General Assembly: The Social, Humanitarian and Cultural Committee (SOCHUM)
I am absolutely thrilled to be presiding alongside my Co-President, Jose Antonio Pumarejo. I am looking forward to getting to know every single one of you during the conference.
We expect an incredible preparation and commitment from you in order to have an active debate and a very interesting committee. Also we want all delegates to be an adequate representation of their designated country, bearing in mind the opinions and activeness on the matters discussed. Always remember that every delegate is equal and has the same opportunities of being the best in this committee. Be sure to outshine yourself and imprint on this event the face you want to leave for humanity. Needless to say, we also expect you to be as diplomatic and polite as possible. These virtues are just as important as a thorough preparation.
As for now, if you have any doubts or questions regarding the topics in the agenda, don’t hesitate to contact us via sochum.bimunxvi@gmail.com It is an honor for me to be your President and help you in anything you need.
Expecting your best,
Adriana Lucía Perez
